Regular Season Round 17: Lorient - Toulouse 66-59

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Toulouse (5-12) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Lorient (6-12) 66-59 on Tuesday. Toulouse was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Adrien Thimon (188-94) who recorded 14 points and Ivorian center Bali Coulibaly (199-95) added 11 points respectively. Four Toulouse players scored in double figures. Toulouse's coach Stephane Dao rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lorient moved-up to tenth place in Group A. Toulouse lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Lorient will face higher ranked JSA Bordeaux (#9) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Toulouse will play against the league's second-placed SO Maritime Boulogne where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
