Ginebra Kings rallied past North Port to advance into Governors' Cup Finals. Ginebra Kings outrebounded North Port 52-41 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Justin Brownlee (197-88, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Japeth Aguilar (206-87, college: WKU) contributed with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Naturalized German forward Christian Standhardinger (206-89, college: Hawaii) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Michael Qualls (197-94, college: Arkansas, agency: Inception Sports) added 25 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for North Port. Five Ginebra Kings and four North Port players scored in double figures.
