Very predictable result when first ranked Tochigi B. (18-4) beat at home 6th ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (2-20) 89-79 on Saturday. Tochigi B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Naturalized American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) fired 27 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The former international guard Hironori Watanabe (180-88) chipped in 9 points and 5 assists. Tochigi B.'s coach Ryuzo Anzai used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Takanobu Nishikawa (195-92) added 24 points respectively for lost side. Four San-en NeoPhoenix players scored in double figures. Tochigi B. have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-4 record. Loser San-en NeoPhoenix keeps the sixth place with 20 games lost. Tochigi B. will face again San-en NeoPhoenix (#6) in Hamamatsu in the next round where they are favorite.
