Regular Season Round 17: Toulouse - Caen 58-73

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Toulouse (5-11) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Caen (11-6) 73-58 on Saturday. Caen dominated down low during the game scoring 34 of its points in the paint compared to Toulouse's 14. Point guard Aurelien Rigaux (178-88) stepped up and scored 17 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Soriah Bangura (196-93) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds. Five Caen players scored in double figures. Ivorian center Bali Coulibaly (199-95) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Algerian guard Faycal Sahraoui (188-79) scored 6 points and 6 assists. Toulouse's coach Stephane Dao tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caen moved-up to fifth place, which they share with La Charite. Toulouse lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. Caen will face Dax-Gamarde (#7) in Gamarde les Bains in the next round. Toulouse will play on the road against Lorient and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
