A very interesting game took place in Cleveland. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of their close opponent Hawks (6-25) to fifth ranked Cavaliers (9-21) 121-118 in the game for the fifth place. Guard Collin Sexton (191-99, college: Alabama) notched 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Kevin Love (208-88, college: UCLA) supported him with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 30 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals by guard Trae Young (188-98, college: Oklahoma) did not help to save the game for Hawks. U.S. Virgin Islands-American John Collins (208-97, college: Wake Forest) added 27 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Five Cavaliers and four Hawks players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Cavaliers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 9-21 record which they share with defeated Hawks. Hawks lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 25 games lost.
