Regular Season Round 8: Ramla - M.Haifa 83-76
Date: December 23, 2019
There was no surprise when 8th ranked M.Haifa (2-6) was defeated on the road by third ranked Ramla (6-2) 83-76. They made 22-of-24 charity shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Ramla players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by guard Tiffany Mitchell (175-94, college: S.Carolina, agency: LBM Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Brittany Boyd (175-93, college: California) supported her with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Even a double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds by center Khaalia Hillsman (197-96, college: Texas A&M) did not help to save the game for M.Haifa. Swingman Alex Harden (180-93, college: Wichita St., agency: Ron Sport) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ramla have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 6-2 record behind leader Ramat Gan. M.Haifa lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Ramla's next round opponent will be Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#5) on the road. M.Haifa will play against Holon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
