Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Kiryat Motzkin and 8th ranked Ironi Ashkelon had identical 4-5 record. But Ironi Ashkelon was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Kiryat Motzkin 75-73 on Tuesday night. American power forward Amin Stevens (203-90, college: FAMU, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 29 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Gal Tesler (186-93) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side American-Armenian forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Ahihad Bukra (205-88) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Ironi Ashkelon players scored in double figures. Kiryat Motzkin (5-5) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Yavne. Loser Ironi Ashkelon dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Kiryat Motzkin will face Netanya (#10) at home in the next round. Ironi Ashkelon will play against H.Galilee in Kazrin and hope to win that game.
