Very important is a road loss of first ranked Rockets (21-10) against fifth ranked Warriors (8-24) on Wednesday night. Visiting Rockets were defeated by Warriors in Oakland 116-104. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rockets. Warriors dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Rockets' 42 and made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. Warriors looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Warriors made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Damion Lee (198-92, college: Louisville) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Forward Draymond Green (201-90, college: Michigan St.) helped adding 20 points and 11 rebounds. Warriors' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was point guard Russell Westbrook (190-88, college: UCLA) with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and James Harden (196-89, college: ASU) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Warriors have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 8-24 record, which they share with N.Orleans P. Loser Rockets still keep top position with ten games lost. They share it with Toronto R. and Indiana P..
