The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Toshiba Thunders' (21-3) road victory over second-best Toyama G. (8-16) 98-90 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Toyama G. 43-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. Toshiba Thunders looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds and American power forward Jordan Heath (208-91, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Satoru Maeta (188-97) scored 22 points and 4 steals. Four Toshiba Thunders and five Toyama G. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toshiba Thunders have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Loser Toyama G. keeps the second place with 16 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will face Shiga L-Stars (#4) at home in the next round. Toyama G. will play against Hokkaido L. in Saporro and hope to win that game.
