The most exciting game of round 16 in the Euroleague took place in Moscow. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Italian Armani Milano (8-8) to fifth ranked Russian CSKA (11-5) 78-75 on Thursday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 19-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. CSKA made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Mike James (185-90, college: Lamar) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. American-Italian guard Daniel Hackett (193-87, college: USC) contributed with 28 points and 4 assists for the winners. American center Kaleb Tarczewski (213-93, college: Arizona) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian center Arturas Gudaitis (211-93) added 13 points in the effort for Armani Milano. Four Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CSKA have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Russian champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Maccabi T-A. Armani Milano at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with ASVEL and Khimki. CSKA is looking forward to face Panathinaikos (#6) in Athens in the next round. Armani Milano will play at home against Zenit and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
