Important game to mention about took place in Saporro. Second ranked Toyama G. (9-16) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (11-14) 75-72 in the game for the second place. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import Josh Peppers (201-85, college: UCF) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Toyama G. players scored in double figures. American forward Kennedy Meeks (208-95, college: UNC) answered with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) added 5 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hokkaido L.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Toyama G. maintains second place with 9-16 record having thirteen points less than leader Tochigi B. Hokkaido L. at the other side dropped to the third position with 14 games lost. They share it with Nagoya DD. Toyama G. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hokkaido L. will play again at home against the league's second-placed Toyama G. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
