The game in Athens was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Ifestos (8-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Peristeri GS (9-5). Ifestos managed to secure a 4-point victory 79-75 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 22-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. American Sean Evans (203-88, college: St.John's) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Mario Little (198-87, college: Kansas) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side Angolan center Yanick Moreira (211-91, college: SMU, agency: BeoBasket) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ifestos have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory Ifestos went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Peristeri GS dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Ifestos will meet Rethymno (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Peristeri GS will play against Iraklis (#8) in Thessaloniki and hope to secure a win.
