Regular Season Round 26: Kawasaki BT - Shiga L-Stars 80-71

An interesting game for Toshiba Thunders (23-3) which hosted in Kanagawa one of their biggest challengers Shiga L-Stars (10-16). First ranked Toshiba Thunders managed to get a 9-point victory 80-71. Toshiba Thunders looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. International power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Jordan Heath (208-91, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. Toshiba Thunders' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: ASU) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Henry Walker (198-87, college: Kansas St.) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Toshiba Thunders have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-3 record. Shiga L-Stars lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with 16 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will face league's second-placed Toyama G. at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shiga L-Stars will play against Hokkaido L. and hope to win that game.
