Regular Season Round 69: Toronto R. - Cleveland C. 117-97

Date: December 31, 2019
Rather expected game when 5th ranked Cavaliers (10-23) were smashed by third ranked Raptors (23-11) in Toronto 117-97 on Tuesday. Raptors made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Raptors made 7 blocks. It was a good game for point guard Kyle Lowry (183-86, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 8 assists. Congolese-Spanish power forward Serge Ibaka (208-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Canadian forward Tristan Thompson (206-91, college: Texas) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and guard Collin Sexton (191-99, college: Alabama) added 22 points in the effort for Cavaliers. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Houston R. Loser Cavaliers keep the fifth place with 23 games lost.
