The biggest surprise took place in Findon where host Adelaide 36ers (9-11) edged league's leader Perth Wildcats (13-7) 100-97 on Wednesday evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Perth Wildcats helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Eric Griffin (203-90, college: Campbell) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. The former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Bryce Cotton (185-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the other American import guard Terrico White (196-90, college: Ole Miss) added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Adelaide 36ers and four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Adelaide 36ers maintains fifth place with 9-11 record. Defending champion Perth Wildcats dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Kings. Perth Wildcats will play next round against Bullets trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Adelaide 36ers will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Illawarra Hawks in Gwynneville.
