Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked BG Goettingen and 13th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners had identical 5-8 record. This time BG Goettingen used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Frankfurt 89-77 on Thursday night. BG Goettingen made 23-of-24 free shots (95.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Deutsche Bank Skyliners turnovers. It was a great evening for American point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import swingman Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) with 25 points and 4 assists and center Leon Kratzer (211-97, agency: BeoBasket) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for BG Goettingen. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bayreuth and Braunschweig. Loser Deutsche Bank Skyliners keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. BG Goettingen will meet bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against EWE Baskets (#4) and hope to secure a win.
