Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked BG Goettingen and 13th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners had identical 5-8 record. This time BG Goettingen used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Frankfurt 89-77 on Thursday night. BG Goettingen made 23-of-24 free shots (95.8 percent) during the game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for BG Goettingen. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bayreuth and Braunschweig. Loser Deutsche Bank Skyliners keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. BG Goettingen will meet bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against EWE Baskets (#4) and hope to secure a win.
