Regular Season Round 71: Miami Heat - Toronto R. 84-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Heat's (25-9) home victory over second-ranked Raptors (23-12) 84-76 on Thursday. Heat looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Bam Adebayo (208-97, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Swingman Jimmy Butler (201-89, college: Marquette) chipped in 8 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Heat's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Congolese-Spanish power forward Serge Ibaka (208-89) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Kyle Lowry (183-86, college: Villanova) added 15 points and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Four Raptors players scored in double figures. Heat maintains first place with 25-9 record, which they share with Denver N. Defending champion Raptors keep the second position with 12 games lost. Heat will face league's second-placed Magic in Orlando in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week.
