Regular Season Round 21: Koping Stars - Boras 92-76

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Koping. First ranked Koping Stars faced second-best Boras Basket. Host Koping Stars (17-2) defeated guests from Boras (15-3) 92-76. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of Boras Basket. The game was mostly controlled by Koping Stars. Boras Basket managed to win third quarter 29-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Koping Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Latvian forward Ernests Kalve (202-87, agency: HMS) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard CJ Jackson (185-96, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Four Koping Stars players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward William Gutenius (205-92) who recorded 28 points and American forward Zac Cuthbertson (201-96, college: Coastal) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Boras Basket's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Koping Stars have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Boras Basket at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Koping Stars are looking forward to face Sodertalje Kings (#4) on the road in the next round. Boras Basket will play against Umea and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
