Sixteenth-ranked Lleida Basquet (5-11) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (11-5). The visitors from Lugo managed to secure only three-point victory 64-61. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by Finnish guard Roope Ahonen (186-90, agency: Blacktop Management) who scored that evening 16 points and 4 assists and Dominican swingman Dagoberto Pena (198-88, college: Marshall) supported him with 13 points. Leche Rio Breogan's coach Diego Epifanio allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Eric Stutz (203-92, college: EKU, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Lleida Basquet. Forward Miguel Feliu (198-85, agency: Duran International) added 11 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Coruna and Palma. Lleida Basquet at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Oviedo. Leche Rio Breogan will play against Almansa (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lleida Basquet will play against Ourense and hopes to get back on the winning track.
