Regular Season Round 15: Belfast Star - Killester 90-83

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Killester (5-9) was defeated on the road by third ranked Belfast Star (10-4) 90-83. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Killester helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Delaney Blaylock (196, college: Lewis) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Point guard Christopher Fulton (172-2) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Spanish power forward Tomas Fernandez (204-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Kason Harrell (188, college: PFW) added 21 points respectively for Killester in the defeat. Belfast Star have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tralee. Killester lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with nine games lost. Belfast Star's next round opponent will be Maree (#8) in Galway and are hoping to win another game. Killester's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Dublin to the arena Eanna.
