Important game to mention about took place in Shiga. Fifth ranked Shiga L-Stars (11-16) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (11-16) 65-64 in the game for the third place. Shiga L-Stars players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: ASU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) accounted for 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Kennedy Meeks (208-95, college: UNC) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and Markeith Cummings (198-88, college: Kennesaw St.) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Hokkaido L. in the defeat. Hokkaido L.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Hokkaido L. Hokkaido L. lost their third game in a row. Shiga L-Stars will again play against Hokkaido L.
