Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Dist.Olimpico (6-9) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Quintanar (11-4) 72-52 on Saturday. Quintanar outrebounded Dist.Olimpico 44-27 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Khion Sankey (196-92, college: Lipscomb) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. American-Polish swingman Fineto Lungwana (190-94, college: Erskine) chipped in 17 points. Four Quintanar players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Manuel Villamandos (201-0) who recorded 5 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jorge Viejo (191-1, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points respectively. Dist.Olimpico's coach Miguel Angel Lago tested twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Quintanar. They maintain second place in Group B with 11-4 record having just two point less than leader Lliria, which they share with Rivas. Newly promoted Dist.Olimpico dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Quintanar will face Tobarra (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dist.Olimpico will play against Lanzarote and hope to win that game.
