Regular Season Round 15: Azuqueca - Tobarra 65-62

Very expected game when 10th ranked Tobarra (6-9) was edged on the road by fifth ranked Azuqueca (9-6) 65-62 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was DR Congolese forward Cedric Belemene-Dzabatou (199-96, college: Tampa, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Venezuelan power forward Luis Valera (202-88, college: UTRGV) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Azuqueca's coach Jorge Lorenzo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Czech power forward Jakub Kasa (203-92) who recorded 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Miguel Raez (200-79) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Despite that victory Azuqueca went down to sixth position (Group B) due to points difference. Newly promoted Tobarra dropped to the twelfth place with nine games lost. Azuqueca will face higher ranked Rivas (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tobarra will play against the league's second-placed Quintanar (#2) and hope to win that game.
