Regular Season Round 73: Brooklyn N. - Toronto R. 102-121

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Raptors (24-12) crushed 4th placed Nets (16-18) in Brooklyn 121-102 on Saturday. Raptors dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Nets' 38. Raptors forced 24 Nets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Nets were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for point guard Fred VanVleet (183-94, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 assists. Point guard Kyle Lowry (183-86, college: Villanova) contributed with 26 points and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Spencer Dinwiddie (198-93, college: Colorado) answered with 23 points and 7 assists and guard Joe Harris (198-91, college: Virginia) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for Nets. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains second place with 24-12 record behind leader Milwaukee B. Nets lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 18 games lost.
