Regular Season Round 5: Saigon H. - WM Dragons 68-80

Bottom-ranked Vietnamese Saigon Heat (0-2) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-68 loss to fifth ranked Malaysian WM Dragons (3-1) in Saigon. The game was also dominated by American players. Power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Cade Davis (197-88, college: Oklahoma) accounted for 27 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Sam Thompson (201-92, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Christien Charles (216-81, college: Villanova) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Saigon Heat in the defeat. WM Dragons moved-up to fourth place. Saigon Heat at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. WM Dragons' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Hong Kong ELL (#10) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Saigon Heat will play against Singapore Slingers and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
