Regular Season Round 28: Nagoya DD - Kyoto H. 68-75

Another exciting game was played in Nagoya between third ranked Kyoto H. and 5th ranked Diamond Dolphins where Kyoto H. (12-16) beat Diamond Dolphins (11-17) on the road 75-68. Diamond Dolphins were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Zimbabwean-American forward Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. American center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Kyoto H. players scored in double figures. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import power forward Ishmael Lane (203-97, college: Northwestern St.) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Diamond Dolphins. Diamond Dolphins' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Kyoto H. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-16 record having twelve points less than leader Tochigi B., which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Diamond Dolphins lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with 17 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Kyoto H. will play against Shimane Magic (#6) on the road in the next round. Diamond Dolphins will play against the league's second-placed Osaka E. (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
