Regular Season Round 28: Alvark T. - Chiba J. 64-72

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Toyota Alvark (21-7) against fourth ranked Chiba J. (18-10) on Sunday night. Host Toyota Alvark was defeated by Chiba J. in a tough game in Tokyo 64-72. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: UConn) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Chiba J. players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and international guard Seiya Ando (184-92) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Chiba J. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 18-10 record. Defending champion Toyota Alvark keeps the second place with seven games lost. Chiba J. will meet at home Akita Happinets (#5) in the next round. Toyota Alvark will play against Hokkaido L. and hope to secure a win.
