No shocking result in a game in Changhua City where sixth ranked Taiwanese Formosa D. (3-5) defeated 8th ranked Singapore Singapore Slingers (1-3) 88-77. Formosa D. players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Jerran Young (198-91, college: Wright St.) nailed 21 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and forward Jordan Tolbert (201-92, college: SMU) accounted for 19 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and center Anthony McClain (211-88, college: Cincinnati) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Singapore Slingers in the defeat. Five Formosa D. and four Singapore Slingers players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Formosa D. went down to eighth position due to points difference. Singapore Slingers at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Formosa D.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked Zhuhai (#6) and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
