Regular Season Round 14: Opava 2010 - Zlin 84-88

1Liga top team - SKB Zlin (13-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat ninth ranked Opava 2010 (3-11) 88-84. Strangely Opava 2010 outrebounded SKB Zlin 46-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Opava 2010 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Jan Krutilek (189-95) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Martin Nabelek (178-98) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Viktor Cvek (200-89) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and the former international point guard Michal Carnecky (184-85) added 19 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Opava 2010's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SKB Zlin have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in East with 13-1 record. Opava 2010 lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. SKB Zlin's next round opponent will be Novy Jicin (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game. Opava 2010 will play against BCM Orli and hope to win that game.
