Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (6-8) defeated at home bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (2-12) 100-93 on Monday. Hapoel Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) fired 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Latavious Williams (203-89, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. American-Mexican point guard Paul Stoll (180-85) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists and American forward LaDontae Henton (198-92, college: Providence) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Ashdod's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to seventh place. Loser Maccabi Ashdod stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will meet at home Hapoel Eilat (#11) in the next round. Maccabi Ashdod will play against Ironi Nahariya and hope to secure a win.
