Aaguacateros nipped Capitanes on the road. Aaguacateros forced 20 Capitanes turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Donald Sims (185-87, college: Appalachian St., agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up and scored 36 points (!!!) and 4 steals (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) chipped in 27 points and 7 rebounds. Aaguacateros' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international point guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (175-86, college: WKU, agency: Pro Sports) responded with 31 points and 8 assists and Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (190-92) scored 29 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aaguacateros and five Capitanes players scored in double figures.
