The game with biggest result difference took place in Khimki. Local Khimki-2 (17-8) outscored 6th ranked N.Novgorod-2 (12-13) 98-73. It looked good early as N.Novgorod-2 took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Khimki-2 had a 33-21 second period charge getting the lead and N.Novgorod-2 was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-98. Khimki-2 dominated on the defensive end, holding N.Novgorod-2 to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to N.Novgorod-2's 34 and made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Khimki-2 forced 23 N.Novgorod-2 turnovers. It was a quality performance for center Dmitrii Karbusov (205-99) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Ivan Evstigneev (194-99) accounted for 23 points and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winning side. Four Khimki-2 players scored in double figures. Forward Yegor Chepik (197-0) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Artem Orekhov (191-2) added 15 points respectively for N.Novgorod-2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Khimki-2. They maintain third place with 17-8 record having four points less than leader CSKA Junior. N.Novgorod-2 lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Khimki-2's next round opponent will be Unics-2 (#7) in Kazan. N.Novgorod-2 will play on the road against Parma-2 in Perm and hope to win that game.
