Regular Season Round 9: TTT Riga - Castors Braine 81-62

Latvian TTT Riga's home win over 5th ranked Belgian Castors Braine 81-62 was very exciting. The game without a history. TTT Riga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TTT Riga made 7 blocks. Swedish forward Binta Drammeh (181-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American forward Megan Huff (190-96, college: Utah, agency: Wasserman) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four TTT Riga players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Spanish guard Mariona Ortiz (183-92) with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Lithuanian center Egle Siksniute (198-91) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Castors Braine's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending Latvian champion (2-7) moved-up to seventh place in Group A, which they share with Cukurova. Castors Braine lost their third game in a row. Defending Belgian champion keeps the fifth position with six games lost. TTT Riga will face higher ranked Bourges (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Castors Braine will play against Nadezhda Orenburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
