Dominos League top team - Stjarnan (11-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked IR (6-7) in Reykjavik 93-75. The game without a history. Stjarnan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Stjarnan outrebounded IR 55-37 including a 46-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Urald King (198-90, college: SE Oklahoma, agency: Duran International) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Aegir Steinarsson (185-91, college: Newberry, agency: Duran International) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Stjarnan players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Collin Pryor (198-90, college: Northern St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stjarnan have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. IR lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Thor Thorl. Stjarnan will play against Tindastoll (#3) in Sauoarkrokur in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
