Capitanes nipped Aaguacateros to even the series at 1-1. Capitanes outrebounded Aaguacateros 41-20 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Capitanes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (190-92) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican forward Emmanuel Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. American guard Donald Sims (185-87, college: Appalachian St., agency: Pensack Sports) produced 18 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international power forward Arim Solares (202-83) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Aaguacateros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
