Regular Season Round 15: Opava B - Prostejov 85-79

Very important is a road loss of third ranked BCM Orli (8-6) against sixth ranked Opava B (7-7) on Friday night. Visiting BCM Orli was defeated by Opava B in a tough game in Opava 79-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BCM Orli. Opava B shot 31 for 43 from the free-throw line, while BCM Orli only scored thirteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded BCM Orli 50-35 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. 30 personal fouls committed by BCM Orli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was point guard Lukas Bukovjan (185-98) who scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (went 15 for 15 at the free throw line !!!). Center Jiri Stepanek (201-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Viktor Vasat (207-97) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Adam Klepac (188-0) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BCM Orli's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Opava B moved-up to fifth place in East. BCM Orli at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Opava B's next round opponent will be Komf. Brno (#7) at home. BCM Orli will play against Vysocina (#6) in Jihlava and hope to win that game.
