Regular Season Round 15: Telekom Bsk - Braunschweig 85-90

Date: January 10, 2020
There was no surprise in Bonn where 16th ranked Telekom Baskets (2-12) were defeated by tenth ranked Braunschweig (6-8) 90-85 on Friday. Braunschweig made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) helped adding 20 points. The best for the losing side was naturalized American guard TJ DiLeo (190-90, college: Temple) with 11 points and 7 assists and American point guard Eugene Lawrence (184-86, college: St.John's) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Five Braunschweig and four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. Telekom Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Braunschweig maintains tenth place with 6-8 record, which they share with Bayreuth and Goettingen. Telekom Baskets lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. Braunschweig will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Telekom Baskets will play against Giessen 46ers (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
