Rather predictable result in Surgut where eleventh ranked Universitet-Yugra (7-8) defeated bottom-ranked Novosybirsk (3-12) 90-73 on Friday. Universitet-Yugra looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Andre Walker (185-96, college: Loyola, MD, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: Alti Sport) who added 25 points and 7 assists during the contest. Universitet-Yugra's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Aleksandr Razumov (203-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and American point guard Supreme Hannah (181-94, college: Daemen) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Novosybirsk players scored in double figures. Universitet-Yugra have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place. Loser Novosybirsk dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. Universitet-Yugra will face higher ranked Uralmash (#7) in Ekaterinburg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Novosybirsk will play on the road against Temp (#6) in Revda and hope to win that game.
