Regular Season Round 19: Bordeaux - Lorient 90-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Lorient's (6-13) road loss to ninth ranked JSA Bordeaux (8-11) 73-90 on Friday. JSA Bordeaux outrebounded Lorient 36-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Quentin Hanck (192-93) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Point guard Sebastien Cape (184-93) contributed with 18 points and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Ruben Albicy (179-99) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 assists and Lithuanian Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lorient. Five Lorient players scored in double figures. JSA Bordeaux moved-up to eighth place in Group A, which they share with Vitre. Loser Lorient dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. JSA Bordeaux will face league's second-placed STB Le Havre on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lorient will play against Tours (#3) and hope to win that game.
