Regular Season Round 15: Dist.Olimpico - Guadalajara 76-75

There was a small surprise in Madrid where thirteenth ranked Dist.Olimpico (6-9) edged bottom-ranked CB Guadalajara (6-9) 76-75 on Saturday. CB Guadalajara was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Jorge Viejo (191-1, agency: Interperformances) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Enrique Ruiz (202-85) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Dist.Olimpico's coach Miguel Angel Lago used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) who recorded 27 points and 7 rebounds and center Sergio Martinez (208-92) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Dist.Olimpico. They moved-up to tenth place in Group B, which they share with Guadalajara and Tobarra. Dist.Olimpico will face Lanzarote (#15) in Arrecife in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
