Regular Season Round 15: Calpe - Alginet 56-69

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Alginet (14-1) defeated on the road 6th ranked Calpe (5-9) 69-56 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was center Luis Verdeguer (205-87) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Adrian Galvez (187-87) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Joaquin Crespo (189-0) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Dario Cazorla added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Alginet. They maintain first place in Group E-B with 14-1 record. Calpe lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Alginet will face Benidorm (#5) at home in the next round. Calpe will play against the league's second-placed Gandia and hope to win that game.
