Regular Season Round 80: Houston R. - Minnesota T. 139-109

Date: January 11, 2020
Very expected game in Houston where 5th ranked Timberwolves (15-23) were crushed by first ranked Rockets (26-12) 139-109 on Saturday. Rockets made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Rockets outrebounded Timberwolves 58-44 including a 46-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of James Harden (196-89, college: ASU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Russell Westbrook (190-88, college: UCLA) who added 30 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Guard Jarrett Culver (198-99, college: Texas Tech) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian-American guard Josh Okogie (193-98, college: Georgia Tech) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Rockets maintains first position with 26-12 record. Loser Timberwolves dropped to the third place with 23 games lost.
