Regular Season Round 13: Sokol Pisek - BA Nymburk 93-77

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Pisek. First ranked Sokol Pisek faced 3rd placed Nymburk. Host Sokol Pisek (11-1) defeated guests from Nymburk (7-4) 93-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nymburk. Sokol Pisek forced 29 Nymburk turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Martin Svoboda (202-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Vojtech Sykora (190-1) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Frantisek Rylich (186-2) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Adam Srnik (180) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Nymburk. Five Sokol Pisek and four Nymburk players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sokol Pisek maintains first place with 11-1 record. Nymburk at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Sokol Pisek will play against USK (#3) in Praha in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nymburk will play on the road against the league's second-placed Hradec in J.Hradec and hopes to get back on the winning track.
