There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Herzogenaurach (5-9) lost to twelfth ranked Treuchtlingen (6-9) in Treutchlingen 80-94 on Saturday. Herzogenaurach was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Stefan Schmoll (196-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds. Lucca Woerrlein contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Treuchtlingen players scored in double figures. Forward Patrick Horstmann (201-87, college: Keiser) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds and American guard Larry Hall (190-83, college: W.Oregon) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Herzogenaurach. Herzogenaurach's coach let to play ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Treuchtlingen moved-up to tenth place in South-East, which they share with Rosenheim. Loser Herzogenaurach dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
