Regular Season Round 15: Castelldefels - Barbera 73-70

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Barbera (2-12) was edged on the road by seventh ranked Castelldefels (8-6) 73-70 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely Barbera outrebounded Castelldefels 41-25 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Eric Manes (194-87) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Andreu Sese (189-97) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Francisco Salvador (200-99) who recorded 26 points and point guard David Orrit (185-0) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively. Castelldefels moved-up to sixth place in Group C-B, which they share with Salou and Badalones. Barbera lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Castelldefels will face bottom-ranked JAC Sants (#10) in Barcelona in the next round. Barbera will play at home against the league's leader Tarragona (#1) and hope to win that game.
