Regular Season Round 15: Andorra II - Igualada 69-72

Seventh-ranked Andorra II (5-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Igualada (12-2) on Sunday. The visitors from Igualada managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Andorra II. The best player for the winners was guard Jaume Torres (187-83) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Center Eduard Tejero (196-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Andorra forward Oriol Fernandez (186-88) who recorded 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Andorra forward Alexis Bartolome (199-98) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Andorra II players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Igualada maintains second place in Group C-A with 12-2 record having just one victory less than leader Lliria. Loser Andorra II dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Igualada will face Esparreguera (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Andorra II will play against Martinenc in Barcelona and hope to win that game.
