Aaguacateros overcame Capitanes to surge ahead in the series. Aaguacateros shot 62.5 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 63.0 percentage. Aaguacateros looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Capitanes' players. It was a great evening for American center Jerome Meyinsse (207-88, college: Virginia) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Donald Sims (185-87, college: Appalachian St., agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was Panamanian forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican forward Emmanuel Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) scored 13 points. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
