Aaguacateros held off Capitanes to ensure the semifinal berth. Aaguacateros made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Capitanes were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Avry Holmes (188-94, college: Clemson) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Aaguacateros' coach Nicolas Casalanguida allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (190-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican forward Emmanuel Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) added 15 points and 9 assists in the effort for Capitanes.
