Very predictable result when second ranked BK Opava (16-4) defeated at home bottom-ranked Brno (3-17) 83-68. BK Opava made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Center Vaclav Bujnoch (200-93, college: Des Moines Area CC) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Center Martin Gniadek (203-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four BK Opava players scored in double figures. BK Opava's coach Petr Czudek allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Jakub Krakovic (205-90) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Lukas Stegbauer (197-95) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Brno. BK Opava maintains second position with 16-4 record having eight points less than leader ERA Nymburk. Brno lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. BK Opava's next round opponent will be Svitavy (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day. Brno will play against BK Olomoucko (#6) in Prostejov and hope to win that game.
