Bottom-ranked Dublin L. (0-15) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-82 loss to seventh ranked Neptune (8-6) in Dublin. They also forced 19 Dublin L. turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Dublin L. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Roy Downey (191, college: Lindsey Wilson) supported him with 20 points and 4 steals. Even 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds by American guard Jarrett Gray (190, college: Concordia, OR) did not help to save the game for Dublin L.. Swingman Finn Hughes (186-0) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptune moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted Dublin L. still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Neptune's next round opponent will be higher ranked Eanna (#4) in Dublin and it may be quite challenging game. Dublin L.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Dublin to the arena Killester.
